Supatac Contact Adhesive
RPL's flagship solvent-based contact adhesive
Supatac is a solvent-based contact adhesive used for bonding leather to rubber, and for most common combinations of rubber, fabric, leather, cork, board and metal. It is the product RPL is best known for, and the default choice on a shoe factory or upholstery bench. Apply a thin, even coat to BOTH surfaces, allow 5–10 minutes flash-off until touch-dry, then bring the surfaces together under firm pressure.

Common questions
The glue is not sticking — what went wrong?
Nine times out of ten it was applied to only one surface. Contact adhesive must go on BOTH faces and be allowed to flash off before they are brought together. Also check the surfaces were clean and dry.
Supatac, Supatac XX or Stik Tite?
Supatac for straight leather-to-rubber. Supatac XX where stitching is involved, or for fabric-to-foam and foam-to-foam. Stik Tite for bulk fabric and foam lamination at a lower cost per litre.
